This retreat will focus on becoming a man of peace. Why? Because Jesus is a man of peace and we, as followers of Christ, are told to seek out and become men of peace in our increasingly chaotic and violent world. We will discuss what defines a man of peace, where to find them, and how we can become one. We will explore why Sabbath is God’s cornerstone for building families of peace and how specific practices such as time in nature, boundaries around technology, hospitality, giving, and forgiving build shalom. Participants will also discuss when it is time for men of peace to go to war and will leave with practical ways to bring peace into our homes, our work, and our communities.
